Manga and Anime!

Currently reading: One Piece and Toilet Bound Hanako-kun

I have been watching anime since I was in 5th grade, my first being Inuyasha! It's all thanks to my brother that I got into anime and manga at souch a young age. I have mostly watched anime, but I was a huge manga collector for a couple of years (not so much now since I don't have much space at my current place). However, the main ones I would collect are Black Butler, Tokyo Ghoul, Wotakoi, and Chainsaw Man.

This section of my site is mostly just to talk about the various things I have read or how I am enjoying shows I'm watching. Be warned I will include spoilers, but I will make sure to note for what show and what chapters or episodes!

I am currently on chapter 509 for One Piece! That means I am on the Saboady Archipelago arc. If I'm being honest for the longest time I had refused to watch or read One Piece, until I watched the live action... From there I decided to start reading the manga since I knew it would be shorter than watching it. I do plan to watch the new one that is coming in February and my goal is to catch up on the manga before it releases! I am doing well on progess (mostly because I am on summer break, so I have more time) so I think I will reach my goal! However, so far I am absolutely in love with the story.

Although it can be extremely goofy sometimes, it touches on some real topics and issues going on in the world. Things such as government control, racism, slavery, and trafficking. There are many more, but these are the main themes I have noticed throughout reading One Piece. The Strawhats are actively rebelling against the government, not just because they’re pirates, but because they know what the government is doing is wrong. The way they treat people and go after innocent people is disgusting, but it does happen in our world as well.

I am excited to keep reading to see what other situations the Strawhats end up in and I will keep updating! I know for this entry I was mostly being general, but I do plan to get more specific as I read more chapters!
